A Colt Is My Passport

Despite this drawing the movie is nothing like Hogan’s Alley.

Chipmunk-faced Jo Shishido stars as a quiet cool hitman in this 1967 Japanese crime film. The feeling is reminiscent of a spaghetti western (cool music, and kinetic camerawork) and the story is similar to Jean-Pierre Melville’s Le Samourai (or countless other Japanese crime films), but neither comparison is a bad thing. For fans of cool movies, with a cool leading man this is for you. The end is pretty silly, but other than that it hits the right mark.
